Hailing from Bath, UK, Ella’s love of nature and walking stems from growing up in the rural countryside with her four brothers. Whilst studying English Literature at university, she completed a few Mediterranean seasons on various superyachts as a stewardess. Upon graduating she continued to pursue this, travelling the seas far and wide.
Between vessels she certainly made the most of her freedom and time, banking as many adventures and memories as possible…from learning to dive in Egypt, solo backpacking South America for six months, to climbing Kilimanjaro. However, after six years of yachting Ella felt ready for life on land. Whilst still an ardent lover of travel, she fortuitously stumbled across Pelorus and fell in love with our mission.
It’s a hard draw between diving with hammerheads and sea lions in the Galapagos, summiting Kilimanjaro, stargazing in the Atacama desert, hiking in Patagonia, and riding a hot air balloon over the Serengeti National Park during the Great Migration.
To kayak in the Kenai fjords (Alaska), island hop in the French Polynesia, dive with orcas and sperm whales in the Arctic circle, and participate in the Yi Peng lantern festival…to name but a few. I adore trips that revolve around both nature and culture.
Someone who is a detailed planner yet simultaneously willing to be flexible and reorganise, one who prefers to do something experience based, one who enjoys luxury but doesn’t necessarily require it…but above all, one who possesses an infectious lust for life.
